the truth does not change forever

"The Student" by Anton Chekov (1894)

Rating: 8.5/10

As the main character thought the past, present and future are connected, I think the truth is unchangeable and they relate to it as it circulates as the time passes. That is because the widows cried with an old story and why we feel something and learn a lesson from this story written in 1894. So, I could remind the existence of absolute truth argued in philosophy class. Also, I thought a person who realizes it can feel strong awe and be a true person just like the main character's case. The reason why he felt the life is phenomenal in the end is he realized the genuine thing and woke up. I think everyone should get such process any point in life.

I have been thinking that the hero's journal should get a main character having wonderful power or extraordinary attitude. However, I saw some pattern of hero journal in it. As his experience of two crying widows awakens new facts, it can be 'finding new self' as the heroes do. So, I thought the cold and hungry reality, which surrounded him at first, can be the 'ordinary world'. (190)
